I want it to exist for the future beings~ our childrens-grandchildren and other ancestors to come. The current path of our planetary collective is almost certain to detroy it. My name is Maja Daniels and I am on a road trip this summer, 2010. It is a journey of sharing and discovery. Please stay with me here.... It is possible YOU may be a part of this journey!
Last December I attended an Awakening The Dreamer Changing the Dream Symposium and was introduced to a word that, although I was not familiar with the word, its meaning I have known through all time:
Pachamama
It comes from the Quechua (Kee-chwa) language of the Andes and is often translated simply as "Mother Earth" but is so much bigger than that. More accurately, it also includes the sacred presence of the Earth, the sky, the Universe, and all time. It includes you and me, all species, all stars and planets, all cells, atoms, and molecules of everything that is, as well as all possibility for everything that is not yet.
This is not a new awareness or epiphany for me, It has long been my passion and over the years has shown itself in many ways. (See "About Maja" page for more info) In the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium I discovered a powerful tool that in a half day, helps us to reconnect with our own deeper dreams and wisdom~ our indigenous souls. It provides information, resources, activities and exercises to help us open our hearts and connect with each other; to begin right where we are; and to feel hopeful about our future and empowered to do things differently...to create a new dream, and then to live it.
I knew immediately this is the tool I had been waiting for. When I discovered there are less than 3000 facilitators globally, on a planet whose 2009 population topped 6.8 billion people, (that number up 83 million from 2008) I was living in the Santa Cruz, CA area which is blessed to have more than 10 skilled facilitators right there. I felt compelled to do more, to reach further than my back yard.
This awakening tool called the symposium so inspired me that I now find myself off on a journey to share it with as many people as possible throughout the coming 3-5 months.
Beginning now, in May, 2010, I will be on the road sharing this symposium and offering a couple of other services as follow-up to the initial work. (Please see "Other Services" for more information.)
I intend to visit parts of Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Arizona and possibly Idaho, sharing this symposium. I am open to journeying to other places as well!
I am a volunteer for this work, no company nor organization has hired me. I share this out of my desire to be an agent of change during this critical time, and because I have found this incredibly useful, beautiful, and powerful educational and empowering tool. I have invested everything I have into this journey and everything I do during this next few months will be made possible by donations. (see below for info on how to help)
The Symposium is not work that is meant to do alone. I hope to connect with other facilitators along the path and to inspire partnership with hosts across the U.S. in whose homes and communities I will be sharing this symposium. Together, along with many others, we will be a catalyst and contagion for change.
From living rooms to Board Rooms, families, friends, businesses and communities, this work is to be shared. In awakening to this new dream, there is room for all kinds of creative, exciting and innovative possibilities.
Partnerships in the work are already revealing themselves:
As an example, in Santa Cruz, the ATD team partnered with Transition Santa Cruz (If unfamiliar, try googling Transition Towns) to offer a symposium wedding the vision and missions of the two organizations. It was a lovely and wonderful day! 65 people showed up on the first sunny weekend day in months!
There is another exciting possibility opening for a Symposium partnership in Centralia (June 19th) with an organic farm and local chefs, joining to educate, inform, and celebrate sustainability through the symposium and a wonderful shared meal.
I am open to discover the possibilities of what we can co-create together.

Pachamama
is a living, breathing entity and we are all a part of it, inextricably linked to everything that exists.
If we listen deeply, we will hear its voice coming from within our own beings. This is the voice that propels me into the world with this symposium.
This is the voice of Love.
Pachamama has much to teach us.
